TYPE: VA Tourer 1937    PRICE: £ 33,750   COUNTRY: UK

First registered in October 1937 to a Murray Chandler in Krugersdorp SA. It was taken off the road in the mid 1950s when the head gasket failed. It thereafter had little or no use until Mr Chandler died in 1990. The next owner was Roger Pearce, who set about a total "nut and bolt" rebuild. After nearly completing the car he sold it to a Ted Young, who finished the restoration. The car was completed in the mid 1990s and has enjoyed limited use, and careful ownership ever since. The car is in superb condition throughout. It is suggested that only around 147 of these beautiful tourer exist worldwide. Now with UK registration and waiting for a new life.

SOLD

TYPE: SA Saloon 1938    PRICE: £45,000   COUNTRY: UK

The car is in excellent condition. A superb body, chassis, electrical and trim restoration with great attention to detail was performed by Chisbon Restorations in the late 1990s. The car has won several awards at car club shows and rallies. Light use only since restoration and storage in heated garages. A full engine rebuild was carried out in 2009 by MG specialist Halls Garage. The car has done less that 2000 miles since and is running beautifully. See the actual car on the cover and inside Anders Clausager’s definitive book on the MG Saloons. This is a great opportunity to acquire one of the best UK based SAs ready for use in MG Car Club or VSCC events.
